16 CARS STOLEN FROM HILLSIDE DEALERSHIP

On Sunday, December 26, the owner of Auto Holding Dealership, 651 Route 22 West, Hillside, reported the thefts of 16 late model used cars from the showroom and parking lot. The thefts were discovered on Sunday afternoon when an employee discovered a damaged door leading to the dealership's showroom.

According to the owner, Yuriy Mirgorodskiy of Rego Park, New York, seven (7) vehicles were taken from the showroom while an additional nine (9) vehicles were taken from the outside parking lot. Two additional vehicles were found with their engines running in the parking lot. A lockbox containing keys to the stolen vehicles was also found damaged and opened, with numerous keys missing. A large showroom door was found shattered, apparently caused by a vehicle being driven through it.

The vehicles stolen included a 2008 Audi Q7, a 2009 and 2010 Lexus, six (6) late model Mercedes-Benz's, three (3) Porches, a 2011 BMW X-5, a 2008 Honda CRV, 2008 Jeep and a 2008 Land Rover. The total value of the stolen vehicles has been estimated at more than $600,000.

According to the owner, the thefts occurred sometime between Friday evening and Sunday afternoon. The dealership is located on Route 22 West, near McLean Place.
